Live Music

A true assessment of any bands potential in performance is exposed at a live event, live music is has a way of showing any bands true colours.

There was a time in the UK when they were promoting boy bands to encourage female admirers to belief that one of these so called good looking boys would some day be their future husband:) Sure enough its a great tactic by any record company to promote a band who can’t hum a note in tune yet to woman they look great on stage and fulfil their ideal male fantasy. Problem is when these boy bands play live they often fail to produce a sound of any quality and at a live event you can really see how weak their bands live music is. Despite being surrounded by some of the best musicians money can buy their voices in most cases fail miserably to cut the ice at any live event. Learn more here.

A little magic in his fingers

I was listening to a bass player who was producing a magnificent sound whilst playing a bass guitar solo and my conclusion of the effect it had on me or if I had to describe it would be a little magic in his fingers, the bass player’s name is Henry Thomas.

Whenever you get the chance to hear him play you will be amazed with his talent and feel. He was a teacher for the program Rock School which came on around 20 years ago they taught Bass Drums, Guitar and Keyboards. They did this by breaking down each part and explained to you what was done with each different grove. This helped many people learn to play an instrument just by watching the program as well as recording it.

Henry is today one of the UK;s most requested Bass Session Players and Rock School was one of the things which has contributed to elevating his career as a Bass session player. He also was the Bass Guitarist for Ginger Baker’s band called Energy. Those of you who do not know who Ginger is well then look up Eric Clapton’s Legendary rock group called Cream who Ginger Baker was the drummer for. One must ask them self after finishing with one of the best rock bands in the world it would only be natural to want to have a group with only the finest musicians which also included one of the UK’s top electric guitarist John Mizarolli.

A little bit of Bass Guitar

I have always been a great music lover my favourite sounding instrument has to be the guitar however I still have a passion for the Bass guitar and have often considered taking Bass Guitar Lessons and have yet to get around to doing so. Most bass players do not really stand out as their parts are overshadowed by the Electric Guitar however when listening to Funk that is a different kettle of fish such great Bass players like Bootsy Collins, Bernard Edwards and Stanley Clark are only to name a few. In fact their style had a huge influence on Beatles Bassist and song writer Sir Paul McCartney you need only listen to the song called goodnight a wings classic which has a very deep punchy bass then compare it with the many great black bassist who many white bass players owe the utmost allegiance too, then you can see where their influences came from.

A Great Lover of Music Live

Like any other music fan, I am never one to miss a good show. Live Music is the best one there is. Live Music is much different than sitting at home listening to CDs.

It all started when I was just a teenager. I heard Black Sabbath and I never wanted to listen to anything else. I took Metal Guitar Lessons from a friend who was also a rabid fan of Ozzy and co. He wasn’t a pro, of course, but together we worked it out somehow and that’s when we’ve decided to join a band. We went to all little shows of local metal bands, hoping to get to know them and join them on stage. Live Music was like a drug to us and we wanted to be like those cool guys for whom the crowds of young people like us cheered. That was a time when no one has yet heard about Nicks Downloads and stuff like that. We were young and carefree and in love with the new and amazing music that surrounded us everywhere.

It was during that time that I’ve learned that nothing in this world equals the appeal of being on stage, playing Live Music in front of an audience. These were really great times and I’ve had lots of fun.

Of course we all had to grow up at some point. So we moved on and our lives moved in different directions. Even though we loved what we were doing, and we loved our lives being like that, each of us wanted to settle down at some point as well. Music is still our greatest passion, but we’ve found out that other things can be interesting as well. These days I work as a freelance journalist and I have to admit writing is fun, too.

But I will never abandon my old life completely, Live Music will always be here. Live Music has been with me during the good times and the bad times, Live-Music-247.co.uk/ will always be important to me.

Of that I am sure.

Flexible Guitar to buy for anybody

The most Flexible Guitar to buy for anybody has to be that made by Line 6 known as the Viriax. 600 or 700 series what is very special about these guitars is they have 25 tones in the one Guitar sounding very close to almost every expensive electric and acoustic guitar you can think of at only a fraction of the price.

Think about those who have influenced you by taking a fancy to the tones they achieved from their guitar like these Legends Albert Collins, better known as the [ICE MAN], BB King, Buddy Guy Chuck Berry, I mention these great legends as without their existence people like Eric Clapton, Gary Moore and many other white blues players may not have existed today.

If you were to consider buying the guitar they used today in September 2009 it would put a hole in your pocket that is only if you could afford to buy it in the first place, They Used Gibson and Fender make guitars, thanks to Line 6 Viriax all these tones and so much more can be achieved from one guitar he Variax 600 or 700 a. You can get the sounds of the guitars which over 90% of the worlds greatest guitarist used in the past and are using now.

Lets take a very expensive Rickenbacker 330 used by and popularized by the Beatles in the 60s then in the late 70′s Britain’s fabulous Paul Weller and Bruce Foxton from the Jam, then they were 750.00 pounds today they are 1,499.00 new. The Fender Telecaster or Stratocaster will set you back an arm a leg as well. Thanks to line 6 you can buy the Variax 600 or 700 series which can sound like 25 different guitars which include sounds of an expensive acoustic guitar and a expensive classical guitar like the Gibson Chet Atkins.

Now that is only the beginning, the company have a great range of guitar effects such as the one notoriously used known as the POD which as tons of sounds or if you do not want that you can buy one of their amplifiers like the great spider series if your serious about taking up an instrument like the guitar, kit yourself out with Line 6 equipment I mentioned and you will not regret it as the sell the most Flexible Guitar to buy for anybody.
