Weapon of Peace

Posted in music, personal on September 4th, 2011 by Quilib – Be the first to comment

Last weekend I got the chance to update this post Weapon of Peace and the character I am I’ve thought of one instrument and this is my Guitar. If I could think of a way to tune people’s hearts and make them think more rationally under stress I would choose a musical instrument.

The Weapon of Peace is something which would be better than any form of violence and if used nobody would ever need to die all problems or negative moods would be soothed by a little passionate music. If such thoughts could be true I’m sure it would contribute to the world being a better place. Often people like the Police have killed as have the army and other sources of power when the perpetrator could have easily been stopped by a weapon which need not kill the aggressor or violent offender.

If you watch cable or satellite TV you may have seen the discovery or geographic channel if you have then you may have seen programs dedicated on how a war can be fought without any person being harmed. Authorities worldwide have proven such devices are available problem is their spending fortunes elsewhere to harm people but seem to spend the minimum how to preserve human life. What’s even uglier is more often than not the choice of people given to use this is worst than the target they are given.

It would be a wonderful thing if a melody could be played and once this is done each and every person feeling disruptive would immediately feel calm.

Become a better Guitarist

I had recently been considering working on my guitar technique as I wanted to better my playing overhaul fortunately after a quick search in Google I found a teach who suited my needs at the Guitar Lesson.

I want to work on my arpeggios, also my guitar improvisation as well as my rhythm playing as its nice to be able to be good in all styles of guitar playing as possible. One has to always keep in mind that a good guitarist had to work hard to get were they are today. Check out my version of the classic Paul Weller Ballard You Do Something To Me the original song written by Paul Weller taken from the album Stanley Road has a nice guitar solo on it. I decided to play it on an acoustic guitar which was out of tune in order to try and get an original sound.

Master Guitar Improvisation and learn to solo over chord changes and master the theory which helps you master this. The lead guitarist of most rock bands is unquestionably one of the most admired people in rock bands as usually most of them are good players I am speaking of the ones from the harder rock bands like AC/DC, e.g. Learn more check out Guitar Lessons.

Rock legend Gary Moore found dead

Posted in music on February 6th, 2011 by Quilib – 1 Comment

My heart and symphony goes out to a great guitarist Gary Moore notorious for technique. He had a nice singing voice and he played great guitar lines and his improvisation skills were excellent.

Rock Legend Moore wrote many classic songs, one very well known song which he wrote with his former band Thin Lizzy is a song called Parisienne Walkways this is a great song on several thin Lizzy albums. Moore really utilizes his skills when he plays this song live, he does this with great vocals and mind blowing guitar solos.

Here is Moore playing the song live in 2008

Moore was always known for his improvisation and also his lightning fast guitar licks which he used on many Thin Lizzy songs and on his own tracks with his very successful solo career as Moore tracks.

“Moore found dead” in his hotel will shock the hearts of many who admired this great blues metal guitarist. Its so sad when the ones we admire just pass away. Sadly whoever we are our time of death has to come. Despite Rock legend Moore found dead one can safely say many of his songs reflected things which going through our life which made us relate to his songs.

To frequently the rock legends seem to die and are later found dead. Only recently we lost the who’s bass player John Entwistle and now Moore. Despite this great rock legend death his guitaring will live in the hearts and minds of many people from all over the world this year next year and many more years to come.

Rest in Peace Moore!

Paul Weller after many years of not being married has been tempted to do so again. I hope this does not end up that his wife turns out to be a some greedy bastard.

Many may say such comments are totally uncalled for but seeing his wife is thirty years younger than him one cant help think that his status plays a role in her interest. If he turns out to find genuine love and happiness then great.

One often thinks of a career to go into after leaving school sadly but true one career for certain seems to be a family lawyer who specializes in divorce and seeing that the divorce ratio is 3000 divorces a week in England alone its hardly surprising its a stable career.

May none of the negative wishes go to my dear buddy Paul Weller, I am not only a friend and a fan but also his secret backup man ready to play guitar and sing like him.

Super skills used at Guitar Improvisation Lessons
After being totally floored each and every time I see Gary Moore take a guitar solo, I felt I should inquire as to how a guitarist could gain such expertise which allows him to improvise endlessly yet still sound fresh and innovative. Questions like this boggle the mind as well as stimulate ones curiosity.

Guitar Music by Tommy Tedesco

I am a great fan of lessonshome, I really admire those who can read music for the guitar such as Ted Greene and great players like Tommy Tedesco, who wrote one of the best books on earth about reading music for guitarist. By taking the time to study such a book could pay off as a guitarist in an unthinkable way. It happens on a frequent basis you here of a great guitarist wanted to play on an album the problem is he cant read music and never considered to try.

Many guitarist can’t read a note and they never ever take the time to learn and by not doing so they really limit their work potential as a musician. When you look around and understand music you can appreciate guitarist that hats have to be taken of to such as a very respected session bass player Henry Thomas who is an excellent site reader. If you wish to know more about lessonshome is a good place to learn. They go in deep into music theory in any case check them out

I had just been playing my old fender Strat, in the out of phase pick-up position which is one of the most favoured tones from 5 tones which can be accomplished when shifting the pick-up switch often used by those who play the Fender Stratocaster & when you hear it and then know it, the first thing you will realize it is used by many famous artist both old and modern here in 2010.

This unique sound is admired by many guitar players, as well as those who just love the sound of the guitar or those wanting to learn to play the guitar. If you do want to learn to play guitar, or better what you already know, a good start would be booking some lessons at Guitar Lessons they will teach you all you need to know about funk, music theory for the guitar, & much more.

Nile Rodgers is one of the pioneers of funk grooves as well as the guitarist & song writer for Chic, Sister Sledge & producer for countless outer artist. Nile said he used his Fender Strat on 30 songs and had a hit with every song using it, he quoted that one day he decided to to use his fender telecaster and when he did he never had a hit song since. I really do not know all the ins and outs of that story but it appears his telecaster never gave him the same luck as the fender strat did. A genuine quote from Nile Rodgers Master of Funk Grooves.

Music vs Maths

Posted in music on June 4th, 2010 by Quilib – Be the first to comment

We can caught in many situations in life, some being good and some being bad. However being trapped between emotions has to be one of the worst. I touch this point as it can come in any walk of life not only relationships. You may be good at maths and music and which to peruse a career in both but when you analyse it, it’s just not practical, however lets say you pursue a career in maths and that turns out to uninteresting for you and you suddenly wish to turn to music.

Guitar Improvisation Vs Maths

The point here is that both subjects are appealing in different ways but you struggle to make a choice as to which one you think would be better. Sure enough you could study two faculties but its not really realistic or is it? If you look into the art of the musical term called improvisation and study the way it works it has a lot to do with mathematics as so many great musicians such as Allan Holdsworth have proven with their improvisation skills which has been utilized in many of his CDs. As this subject is a daily thought one often wonders who we can turn too other than God that can help us make an on the spot decision. Improvisation can be taught check these lot out.

Live Music

Posted in music on June 3rd, 2010 by Quilib – Be the first to comment

A true assessment of any bands potential in performance is exposed at a live event, live music is has a way of showing any bands true colours.

There was a time in the UK when they were promoting boy bands to encourage female admirers to belief that one of these so called good looking boys would some day be their future husband:) Sure enough its a great tactic by any record company to promote a band who can’t hum a note in tune yet to woman they look great on stage and fulfil their ideal male fantasy. Problem is when these boy bands play live they often fail to produce a sound of any quality and at a live event you can really see how weak their bands live music is. Despite being surrounded by some of the best musicians money can buy their voices in most cases fail miserably to cut the ice at any live event. Learn more here.
